JELD-WEN of Canada Celebrates Lisa Bergeron, Recipient of the 2026 Armand Patenaude Award — A Historic Milestone and a Reflection of JELD-WEN of Canada’s Leadership in Energy Efficient Innovation

Mississauga, March 27, 2026 – JELD WEN of Canada is proud to announce that Lisa Bergeron, Director of Business Development and Government Affairs, has been named the 2026 recipient of the Armand Patenaude Award by the Quebec Glass and Window Association (AVFQ). Lisa becomes the first woman in the award’s history to receive this distinguished honour, marking a significant moment for both the industry and the advancement of women in leadership.

The Armand Patenaude Award recognizes individuals whose vision, expertise, and long term contributions have meaningfully shaped the evolution of the glass, window, and door sector. Lisa’s career embodies these qualities. Over more than three decades at JELD WEN of Canada, she has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s leadership in energy efficient building solutions, and championing innovation that supports Canada’s transition toward more sustainable, high performance homes and buildings.

Her deep technical knowledge and strategic insight have been instrumental in strengthening JELD WEN of Canada’s position as a national leader in energy efficient window and door technologies. Lisa has been a driving force behind initiatives that align with Canada’s evolving energy codes, support decarbonization goals, and promote responsible manufacturing practices—efforts that reflect JELD WEN’s long standing commitment to environmental stewardship.

She has held key leadership roles in several North American industry bodies, most notably the AVFQ, where she served two consecutive terms as President from 2018 to 2022. Her leadership helped modernize standards, guide regulatory evolution, and strengthen the collaborative frameworks that support a more sustainable and innovative industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lisa is admired for her integrity, generosity, and ability to bring people together. Her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to mentorship have made her a respected and trusted voice among colleagues, partners, and industry stakeholders.
