A presence that evokes trust.
JELD-WEN entered the Canadian market in 1990 and has grown significantly in the window and door industry. The company has a rich history of acquisitions and expansions, starting with the purchase of Donat Flamand Windows and Doors in Quebec in 1996. This acquisition marked the beginning of JELD-WEN's presence in Canada.
In 1997, JELD-WEN of Canada acquired a plant in St. Henri, Quebec, and invested in its expansion over the years. In Ontario, JELD-WEN transformed United Windows & Doors into JELD-WEN Windows & Doors in 1998, relocating the plant to Woodbridge and later moving the headquarters to Mississauga to support their growing infrastructure. The Willmar plant in Winnipeg, acquired in 1997, serves the Western Canada market.
Today, JELD-WEN of Canada operates four manufacturing plants across Canada, specializing in windows, doors, and related products. As part of their ongoing commitment to innovation, JELD-WEN of Canada recently launched the JWC8500 window, which continues to lead in energy efficiency across Canada.
