efficiencyPEI offers grants for the installation of insulation, air sealing improvements as well as ENERGY STAR® windows and doors. Upgrades to the shell of a house (known as a building envelope) protects it from the elements and can yield big savings on heating costs. Upgrades will also make your home more comfortable and environmentally friendly. As of June 2, 2025, residential rental property owners (landlords) can also apply for rebates through this program.
In addition to rebates, financing is available through the Government of Prince Edward Island to assist with the up-front costs of insulation upgrades.

Participants start with an energy evaluation to identify air leaks and inefficiencies, followed by a personalized list of recommended upgrades. Homeowners can consult with an energy efficiency advisor and receive rebates for eligible retrofits, such as insulation improvements, air sealing, and heating system upgrades.
By participating, you can lower energy consumption, reduce heating costs, and increase comfort and home value. If you notice high heating bills, cold drafts, or issues like mold and icicles, Rénoclimat may be the right solution for your home.

Energy Star® Window Rebate
